Mental Health in the Workplace: An introduction
This lecture is designed for the entire dental team, including dentists, oral health therapists, dental therapists, hygienists, practice managers and dental assistants.
Course Overview
This 90 minute webinar introduces participants to common mental health issues and assists them to develop skills to support each other in the workplace. The skills learnt in this workshop can be applied within the workplace, when dealing with clients and within the employee’s personal relationships.

Upon completion of this course participants will learn:
- The early warning signs of different mental health problems
- How to approach a person in a supportive and appropriate way to talk about their wellbeing
- How to access assistance
Presenter biography
Ms Susan Long
Susan Long is an experienced Psychologist and the Clinical Director of Workplace Wellness Australia. Susan has formal qualifications both at a graduate and postgraduate level from Charles Sturt University, Melbourne University and Monash University combined with a broad range of experience in providing psychology services within organisations and the community.
