A Beginners Guide to Inhouse Milling / CEREC®

A Beginners Guide to Inhouse Milling / CEREC®
This hands-on course is designed for clinicians new to in-house milling. # Hands-on includes prepping and scanning an anterior veneer and pre-molar inlay.

Course Overview

Digital dentistry is part of everyday practice in most dental practices but there was very little of this covered during your time at university.

Even the analogue dental impressions received at the laboratory are scanned in-house with the technician using design software to create the crown, bridge or inlay/onlay. The lecture will identify the design process common to most of the commercially available in-house systems with the opportunity to apply these learnings using demonstration software to design a restoration.

Hear from an experienced clinician how he applies this technology within his multiple practices.

A demonstration of the full workflow from scan to design through to milling will provide you with a full understanding how to apply these skills within your practice.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will learn:

  • Communication and consent
  • Case selection
  • How to take a good digital scan
  • Preparation design and milling
  • Understanding material selection for Cerec
  • Mastering communication with your laboratory
