COVID-19 Update - 18 December 2020

A COVID-19 cluster is emerging in the Northern Beaches area of Sydney. Queensland’s Chief Health Officer (CHO) has imposed the following restrictions:

  1. Anyone who was in the Northern Beaches region on or since Friday 11 December and is already in Queensland should get tested and quarantine in their home or accommodation for 14 days from the date they left the Northern Beaches.
  2. Anyone who was in the Northern Beaches region on or since Friday 11 December and arrived in Queensland on a flight after midnight on Thursday 17 December must get tested and quarantine in their home or accommodation for 14 days from the date they left the Northern Beaches.
  3. All new arrivals after 1am on Saturday 19 December from Sydney  who have been in the Northern Beaches region will be required to go into hotel quarantine for 14 days.
  4. These restrictions include both interstate visitors and Queensland Residents returning home.

All dental practitioners are reminded that Level 1 Dental Service Restrictions  remain in place in Queensland. This means that non-urgent treatment for people who are confirmed or possible suspected cases in accordance with the CHO’s restrictions should be deferred.
