Item Numbers, Records and Consent Webinar

Item Numbers, Records and Consent Webinar

If AHPRA came knocking at the door, would your records be good enough?

Most dentists will use ADA item numbers every working day of their lives, but if you use them incorrectly, you may end up in all kinds or trouble.

Martin has worked on the ADA Inc Schedule and third-party committee for the last 12 years, so bring to the meeting your own item number questions and get the answers in an open forum discussion. Learn how to avoid becoming the subject of a health fund or Medicare audit, by using item numbers correctly.

Martin has conducted audits for AHPRA of dental practices, regarding clinical records and Infection Control; would yours pass the test? Learn how to comply effectively with the DBA’s guidelines for clinical records. We all know what informed consent is, but how does that apply in your daily practice?

Jodie Baker will discuss the legal aspects of consent and show case studies of AHPRA investigations where clinical records and consent have been major factors. She will also discuss a few medico-legal cases where dentists have ended up in the spotlight. The Clinical cases presentation will focus on tricky cases that you might encounter in general dental practice.
