ADAQ in partnership with The Wellness Workshop are pleased to offer you access to Australia's only multi-dimensional Member Assistance Program with 3 x 1 hour sessions per year across a number of services.

What is the Member Assistance Program?

As part of Australian Dental Association's (QLD) commitment to supporting the health and resiliency of our members, we have engaged the workplace wellbeing experts at The Wellness Workshop to provide members with a range of one-on-one sessions aimed at enhancing and supporting both individual and organisational wellbeing.

What services can I book for a one-on-one session?

Counselling

Suitable for members struggling with mental health issues, a sick loved one, addiction, trauma, personal pressures and burnout. Counselling sessions can help you manage stress better, cope with your emotions, improve relationship skills, identify barriers to personal and professional progression, deal with and resolve conflict and improve communication.

Financial Wellbeing

Suitable for members needing guidance managing their money including reducing debt, budget management and understanding investments. Financial coaching sessions can help you budget and manage your money better, purchase a large asset e.g. a new home, invest, learn how to salary package, improve super knowledge and set goals.

Dietetics & Nutrition

Suitable for members dealing with a chronic illness, diet-related disease or looking for individual nutrition advice to improve day-to- day energy and health. Dietetic sessions can help you improve your relationship with food, learn to eat for energy and mood regulation, and provide tailored nutrition advice to help manage chronic disease and conditions.

Mindfulness

Suitable for members looking to manage stress better, regulate emotions, prevent burnout, and improve self-awareness, focus and decision making. Meditation and Mindfulness sessions can help you increase focus, reduce stress and anxiety, increase productivity and activate your parasympathetic nervous system.

Workplace Skills

Suitable for members looking to upskill, improve interpersonal abilities and become better leaders. Workplace skills and support sessions can help you improve your negotiation skills, resolve conflict better, improve communication skills, become a better leader, enhance time management and delegation and improve EQ.

Health Coaching

Suitable for members wanting to play an active role in changing and better managing their lifestyle. Health and life coaching sessions can help you reduce harmful habits and build helpful habits, understand your emotions and build coping skills, set boundaries, understand your mindset, improve self-esteem and confidence, and more.

How many sessions can I book?

All current ADAQ members and their dental team will have access to book up to 3 x 1 hour sessions in the 12 month period between 1 June - 31 May annually. You can either choose to have all sessions with one practitioner or service, or spread your sessions out across various services.

How do I book my sessions?

To book your one-on-one sessions, click the link above or visit www.thewellnessworkshop.com.au/book-map You can also call 03 8338 4380 if you prefer to speak directly with a team member during standard business hours (9am-5pm Australian Eastern Time).

If you've chosen to click the online form, fill in all required fields, then sign and submit your form. Once your form is submitted a member of The Wellness Workshop team will call you directly on the number you provided to get further details and set you up with your chosen practitioner.

When can I take my sessions, and how are they delivered?

Once you've been set up with your chosen practitioner, you can decide together on a day and time that suits best to hold your session(s). Please note, practitioners are generally available from Monday to Friday 9am-6pm and can't guarantee an out of hours session. The Wellness Workshop team will always do their best however to find a suitable time for you that fits in with your schedule.

Sessions can be delivered via online video conferencing or telehealth as well as over the phone. You can also choose to do a "walk and talk” session if convenient, where you go for a 60 minute walk while speaking with your practitioner. Please note however that some sessions may require you to access a device or take down notes.

Is there a cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Yes, you need to provide at least 3 business days’ notice directly to your practitioner to cancel or reschedule your session once it's been booked in. You can provide this notice either in writing via email or SMS, or by calling them directly. Please ensure you leave a voicemail in the event the practitioner doesn't pick up advising them you'd like to cancel or reschedule your sessions.

Any cancellation or reschedule requests made outside of the above time-frame will result in your session being forfeited and count towards your overall session allowance of 3 per 12 month period.
