Dr Michael Hurrel
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr Michael Hurrell is a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with Dentistry and Medicine degrees, a PhD in facial trauma surgery and a post-specialty fellowship in head and neck cancer surgery and microvascular reconstruction.
Dr Hurrell provides a comprehensive surgical service to patients with mouth, jaw, skin and salivary gland cancers across the Gold Coast. He supervises Maxillofacial Trainees and a Head and Neck Cancer Fellow at the Gold Coast University Hospital, and is actively involved in ongoing student education and research. Additionally, through his private practice at The OMS Clinic he has an interest in wisdom teeth extractions, simple and complex dental implantology including full-arch treatments with zygomatic and pterygoid implants, orthognathic surgery and temporomandibular joint surgery.
