NOTICE OF ELECTION
Election of ADAQ Council Representatives

Australian Dental Association (Queensland Branch) invites nominations for the election of positions on ADAQ Council from each Division* as outlined below:

No 1 Division – Moreton – 4 positions

No 5 Division – Northern – 1 position

No 6 Division – Peninsular – 1 position

The position of Divisional Councillor Representative is for a period of two (2) years commencing from the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) that will be held on Thursday 23 November 2023.

Nominations, which MUST be in writing, may be made at any time from Friday 25 August 2023. Nominations must reach the Returning Officer no later than 12 noon AEST on Friday 22 September 2023.

Nominations may be withdrawn at any time within 72 hours from noon Friday 22 September.

CANDIDATE STATEMENTS

Nominees for candidacy may submit a statement in support of their nomination. Statements should be fully completed, signed and received by the Returning Officer in MS Word format (by email to [email protected] ) before the close of nominations i.e. at 12 noon AEST on Friday 22 September 2023. Statements shall be limited to 300 words.


LODGING NOMINATIONS

Signed, fully completed and scanned nominations may be emailed to [email protected]

Signed, fully completed nominations may be posted to PO Box 611, Albion, Qld, 4010, before the close of Nominations at 12 noon AEST on Friday 22 September 2023.

ELECTION

In the event the number of nominations received are greater than the number of positions available in a Division, an election will be held. If an election is necessary, an electronic ballot will be held and all information will be provided to members who are eligible to vote.

The ballot, if it is necessary, will open on Tuesday 3 October 2023 and close at 5.00pm AEST on Friday 27 October, 2023.
